Sylvania Gro-Lux vs. WS

Hi everyone,

I have read a few post about NOT using Sylvania Gro-Lux Wide Spectrum. Why? Did you have bad experience with that? I have read that non-WS has PAR conversion coefficient of 0.028, and WS - 0.019:

Is it the catch? The only available horticulture bulb in my area is Sylvania Gro-Lux WS and Phylips Agro. So, why not WS? I intend to use it for cacti.

Why not just try the bulb? They aren't that expensive! I would suggest adding some sort of "blue" bulb in with it though because it tends to be a little on the "red" side. I don't get why people bash this gro-lux bulb. No, you probably can't grow pumpkins duh with it duh? Lettuce? I don't see why not, but you should throw in some blue as well.
