daffodils under Siberian irises
In September I moved peonies so they would be in a sunnier spot and I divided a big clump of Siberian irises and replanted them where the peonies had been. When I did that, I planted some daffodils too. I realize now that was a mistake, as the irises will form a mat of roots that the daffodils can't get through. My plan now is to dig up the daffodils after they finish blooming in the spring and the foiliage dies back some. Will that work or should I dig them up this fall and replant them elsewhere? I don't know how quickly the iris roots form mats.
