Fixture spacing

I have 3-two bulb shop light fixtures in my basement. They are 4'long. Two of them are t 12's and one is new and is a t 8.I will be overwintering coleus and geraniums.I have them on 3 card tables(36-40" square)How far apart can I space the fixtures?
