re-planting pole beans
I came across something that I would like to share. I plant Romano pole beans in sections of three so I can have a long continuous crop. Several years ago, I cut back the first section about 6 inches from ground level so I could pull the vines off the trellis. I got busy on other things and didn't get around to pulling the cut offs out of the ground for awhile. When I did come back to them, I was surprised to see that the plants were growing again so I let them be. Sure enough, they produced all over again. I now do this all the time. Since I live in Northern California, we are blessed with extended, warm Fall weather.
