Do Maxibel beans need to be staked?

fred9x(z5ct)July 3, 2010

I'm in N Central CT and and growing Maxibel bush beans for the 1st time. Most have a 2 ft plus thin stalk. Should this be staked or cut or?

I've grown Maxibels 2 years. Mine have always been bush beans, levelling off at about 2 ft, then they start producing blossoms.
