marvine(z7/8 GA)November 14, 2008

This TB has been blooming for two weeks now, I have it tagged as "Earl of Essex" but it doesn't match other pictures I've seen of that cultivar.

Lilac Stitchery, Jensen, 1958 - I think that is the correct name for this TB. My garden map shows it as growing next to Earl of Essex.

Wonderful picture. Pretty lilac-violet color.

Was searching for a description of Lilac Stitchery & found it to be 1989. It's description seems a little different than your good looking one.

I agree, not 'Lilac Stitchery'
Lilac Stitchery at C and J Iris

maybe closer to 'Cross Stitch'
I'd say 'Garden Grace' but the beard is wrong.
