When to transplant? Move

rodco(zone 5)July 3, 2013

I have about a half dozen lilies. I don't know the type, but I planted them last year and assumed they were only going to be a foot or so high. Well this year they have topped out at about 6 feet. They are in wrong spot and I need to move them. When should I do it?
Thanks

It's best to move them this fall after the stems and leaves have ripened (turned yellow/brown) As long as the stems and leaves are green they are feeding the bulbs for next years flowers.
