Rain Lilies

patty_cakesAugust 27, 2012

I live in Austin and saw my first blooms yesterday, several days after we had a lot of rain. Have you ever seen them or are they called something else where you live?;o)

Here is a link that might be useful: Rain lilies

Of course, Rain lilies (Zephyranthes spp.) are not true lilies (Lilium spp.), which is the focus of this forum. Nevertheless, they are quite beautiful bulb plants, and we here in the north grow them as pot plants, but can't let them winter outside. You will probably find more people interested in Rain lilies on the Bulb forum. :)
