Can you help me name this lovely lily? I want more!

newsgirl1October 27, 2008

I inherited a garden, and I am stumped by what I think is a lily that has come up each summer. The reason I'm not sure is that it has a single stem (not branched), sets of leathery green leaves up and down the stem and a pink, extremely fragrant flower. I don't know of a lily that has only a single terminal flower like that. The bloom looks like a Stargazer to me, but the whole darn thing is only about 2.5 feet high. Help from the experts?

It sounds like a lily, a small bulb might produce a single bloom. Do you have a picture to post?
