Flea beetles on greens
Thinking ahead to spring plantings, I'm trying to figure out a way to control flea beetles on arugula, spinach and bok choy. These green grow well in our cool spring weather but were ruined by flea beetles last year. Row cover didn't seem to help much because the eggs overwinter in the soil.
Wondering if anyone has used Surround (the clay coating)to control flea beetle damage. I know it is used with fruiting crops like tomatoes so it would probably work on the greens. But I'm concerned that it will be hard to clean the leaves. Has anyone ever tried this?
