How to save pea seeds

I plan on growing "Oregon Sugar Pod" next year and was wondering what is the process of saving seeds with peas for following years?

Set aside a few vines exclusively for seed. Let the pods dry on the vines, pick them, spread them out to dry more for a couple of weeks, shell and store.
