I read on here that there are 240 different types of Cow Peas. My question is, How would a fellow go about finding the names and a little about them? Are there any books or online sources? Thanks a bunch.
Here are 173 of them
Here is a link that might be useful: soutthern peas
I can't thank you enough for that link. I will be reading till the wee hours. I'm a bean/Pea man.
Hairy Moose Knuckles, just like the wife you're torturing yourself by looking at the pics when you can't find a source to get all the different seeds LOL
The ones on this list are generally available.
I have just noticed small holes in some of the leaves of my cow peas, can you tell what to do about this before it totally kills the plants?
You might have flea beetles. I sprayed my radishes and turnips with Sevin today to control flea beetles. Japanese beetles will also put holes in leaves. If you see them, knock them off into a bucket of soapy water or hang traps for them.
Be sure to hang the Japaneese beetle traps some distance from your garden. While they do work by catching lots of beetles, they attract more beetles to the area and don't catch them all. Lol
