Koto ito komache (My babies)
Whoa! Hay they are beauties.
What is the age on 'Koto ito komachi'
Is it komachI or komachE???
You are right on the spelling (komachi) Sorry. The mother tree on the far right was grafted in 1999. the others are 5 and 6 years old.
Spectacular plants. Can you say where the original graft came from?
Do you use myco, humic or other fancy ingredients?
Are your komachi's for sale?
Thanks for sharing info.
The original graft was done by Howard Hughes of Montesano, WA and the scion wood came from J.D. Vertrees @ Maplewood in Roseburg, OR. I do have other grafts that are younger. What I am finding out that once they have survived three years outside with no heat or special care or protection they are suitable for JM collectors. I will post some pictures of these when they leaf out in a few weeks. Any fertilizing that they would get is very light if at all.
Quite a pedigree. Thanks for the information.
I've sent you a private message.
I am jealous. Those are spectacular~
