Navy beans

I had an idea to try to germinate some Navy beans that we get from the local suermarket to make baked beans with,

Anyway some have germinated , so do you think they would be ok to grow ? I thought I read somewhere that all beans were open pollinated type,

The following thread states, yes all beans are Open pollinated.
