Romney Rubio ticket - a fait accompli
Rubio is beginning to look like the obvious and inevitable choice for Romney on the ticket and for almost every reason one can think of. Most importantly, Rubio could deliver Florida which could decide the election once again.
Outside the Cuban community in Florida, Rubio appears to have little in common with others in the Latino community, including the largest segment - Mexican Americans.
Notwithstanding that, if he can deliver Florida, not much else matters. In addition, Rubio's switch from Mormonism as a youngster also helps Romney in a strange way by kind of deflecting and minimizing for Southern Evangelical voters.
If there was a way for Obama to get Hillary on the ticket she could help change the equation in Florida but otherwise, I think Rubio is the wild card and could be the decisive factor in the Fall election.
Given that, I think it is time to start vetting Rubio's character and qualifications to be VP, an enormous leap for this guy into a position that is one heart beat away from the Presidency.
What are his legislative accomplishments in the Senate?
Why did he lie about his parents fleeing from Castro?
