What a great gardening summer!

marthacr(z5 Me)October 6, 2010

I think we were blessed by the gods and goddesses this year to make up for last summer's fiasco. I had a lot of success with my crops. I finally learned not to sow my carrots too early, got a fall crop of beans and snap peas in early enough to produce, had endless cukes and sungold tomatoes, and had the most beautiful Brandywine tomatoes ever. My only real flop was kohlrabi. I still haven't put my veg. garden to bed yet!

How about you? What was your best success and your disappointment this year?

Yes, it was a great summer. I got lots of Butternut squash, cucumbers, kale....But alot of tomatos with Blight again this summer. uuuugh. I also had great luck with red potatos. I only saw ONE hornworm. yay. The borage keeps them away.
