Annual Ditch Lily Give-Away

cfmuehling(7b DC/MD burbs)March 13, 2011

Hello all!

I hope you've wintered well.

It's that time of year when again I'm trying to get out as many ditch lilys as I can.

I have zillions of all sizes. We're talking those that grow maybe 2' tall, to some that are taller than I, at 5'3".

If you're willing to dig, as many as you can use are yours. They do look so beautiful on my side of the road. :)

As some know, if you do make the trek to me out on the south side of Bowie, you leave with a lot more than that for which you've come.

I just changed my email address, so I don't know if I'll start receiving email thru the forum or not. If you're interested, email me here: CFreeman at EveningsFall dot com.

Oh!!! If you get them very soon, they'll bloom in your yard this year.

Thanks,

Christine

Christine - I've worked hard to get rid of my ditch lilies as many as possible because they don't add much to my limited garden space. My neighbors planted some along the fenceline and I tend to rip them out as soon as I see them so they don't take over on my side. You were one of the first GW people I met in person and you were so kind to pass along some of your garden bounty but I'll let some other person take your ditch lilies! Happy Spring, Ann

Ann,
Are these the tall, orange ones you see so much beside the road? I would be interested in some of those and you're closer than the person in Bowie. I'll even come and dig them up, you won't have to.
