Snow Peas questions

Hello again:)

I'm getting ready to go to market for the first time this year and am wondering about my snow peas. How do you all contain them (container size, etc.) and for how much do you sell them?

Also, I'm wondering what the best post-harvest handling procedures are. How do I keep them fresh and crisp? I have been picking from the vines every day and am starting to wonder if the peas I've picked won't be suitable to sell.

As long as the peas are crisp and sweet tasting, they are good to sell. I usually pick 2-3 times per week, or they get too large and bumpy, and then keep them in a frig turned as warm as I can get it.

At the market, have a bottle of water frozen, kept under the peas with a dish cloth between.

I've always sold by the pound, last time was $5/lb and that was a couple of years ago.

I pick daily, store in a cold fridge in plastic bags. I sell a pint box (1/2 pound) for $2.50 to $3.00

Thanks for the tips! The snow peas were crisp in the fridge and sold well at my first market! This heat we've been experiencing now has pretty much zapped the vines now though.

I appreciate the help!
