Nice stuff at Costco

annebert(6b/7a MD)April 8, 2007

Went to Costco in Frederick for a treat yesterday.

Packaged plants from Garden State Bulb:

12 hostas for $12 - 3 each of 4 blue-leaved varieties. Reluctantly passed on this because I bought so much other stuff.

Peonies 5 (japanese) or 6 (doubles) for $12. Mixed varities, but all individually labeled. They have 3-5 fat healthy eyes and look great. Just finished planting them.

They had named varieties of Japanese Maples, probably not exotic enough for Christine (and I didn't look to see if they were grafted) about 4' tall for $59. I noticed Inaba Shidare and Red Dragon.

They opened a garden center at my local Costco as well. It has been so cold I haven't wanted to go see what's out there.
