Japanese maple find at Home Depot

judyokAugust 22, 2009

I found a Lion's Head japanese maple at Home Depot for just $12.99. It is a little thing just a foot tall but for that price it will be a fun and interesting project to grow it up. I also bought a 2' Butterfly japanese maple for $29.98. I was suprised to see the varieties they had available. It seems like last year all that was offered was lots of Tamukeyama's (not that there is anything wrong with that plant)

Nice find Judy. A healthy 'Shishigashira' for $13 is a deal.

Haven't found anything especially desirable at my local HD so far, but I can't help checking.
