plant problem-soil problem?

eng6trk(7)May 2, 2014

I have a few transplants that I planted that end up looking similar to the attached picture.

The weird thing is the strawberry transplants and onion sets I planted are growing fine.

Any idea to what the problem is would be most helpful and appreciated!

The problem is the discoloration of the leaves and eventually the plant dies.
Spinach, broccoli, baby bok choi are the plants that are affected.

You may have a fungal or bacterial problem which may be environmental-in soil or airborne.

For general health, it helps if your brassicas are planted in an area that will get a lot of sun and the drainage should be good. They like a lot of organic matter in the soil so that it isn't too dense with clay.
