Keeping a photo record of hosta plants
I'm asking this as a separate question from keeping statistics and location information about your hosta garden.
I seem to take pictures of the same ones again and again, and then realize much too late that I have NO pictures of other hosta.
In my case, I move pots around a lot, so while I could remember all the in-ground plants (hosta or otherwise), by having mobile pots, some hosta are put in out-of-the-way spots and languish unappreciated. The showstoppers all get noticed. But those yeoman greenies are overlooked.
Do you observe any sort of school picture day? Where you take pictures of everything? And how do you make sure you IDENTIFY each photo for later retrieval? I'm thinking many of mine won't have a current photo to SHOW AND TELL for the Winter Hosta Alphabet events.
Especially with pots.....can you help me work this out? What do you do when taking pictures? When I say "work" I do not mean CHORE. I have enough "chores" to do already. My way of looking at it is the day we dress up and have our pictures taken for the school yearbook. On about a quarterly basis in the garden. Underachievers and overachievers alike. Good, bad, AND ugly.
