Itty Bitty Japanese Maple - Advise

TheMidnightGarden(9)October 31, 2012

I have an itty bitty Japanese Maple. It sprouted under the mother tree, and I transplanted it. There were three transplanted in total, about 4 months ago. The first two died right away. This one has not died, but is not growing at all.....any advise? He is about 1.5 - 2 inches tall

Congratulations on being a new grandparent! :)

Transplanted plants generally experience transplant shock as they get used to their new environments and establish new roots.

Japanese Maples are slow-growing trees. Dont' worry about the grandbaby. He's probably still getting established so he can put on growth in a few months.

How cool! A new family member.
This means you'll have more in the future, too.
You can do like that fellow online and go crazy selling your grandchildren.

Oh, my. That didn't sound right, did it?
