Itty Bitty Japanese Maple - Advise

I have an itty bitty Japanese Maple. It sprouted under the mother tree, and I transplanted it. There were three transplanted in total, about 4 months ago. The first two died right away. This one has not died, but is not growing at all.....any advise? He is about 1.5 - 2 inches tall

Congratulations on being a new grandparent! :)

Transplanted plants generally experience transplant shock as they get used to their new environments and establish new roots.

Japanese Maples are slow-growing trees. Dont' worry about the grandbaby. He's probably still getting established so he can put on growth in a few months.

You can do like that fellow online and go crazy selling your grandchildren.
