A few Good Bargains

mzdee(6b)June 7, 2013

at Lowes today. Raining cats and dogs so a really good time to browse the clearance racks, umbrella in hand. Great deal on shrubs that are past bloom stage. I bought a big peony and several indoor plants (ferns) at deep markdowns. They had large rhodos, roses, climbing roses, trees (magnolias too), bleeding hearts, and bulbs that are done blooming. It was impressive because these plants were not half dead.

Also got a very healthy and beautiful hydrangea at Aldis. Didn't expect much, but it was gorgeous and full of unopened buds. Turns out its a brestenburg (blue). They also had Merritt Supreme which I already have (and love).

Happy Gardening and Stay Dry.
