Thanks for sharing. Looks like a visit to Green Spring has moved up a little higher on my "gotta do" list. Some of the pictures show some really great foliage combinations. I definitely need to get more purple/red foliage plants into my landscape.

Thanks Brent.
Greenspring is 10 mins from my home, and yet this was the first time I went to walk around. (I've made the spring sales before.)

To be honest, I'm not into elephant ears and cannas and musas in the ground, and yet.... I might be a convert. The dark colored ones really draw the eye from 40 feet away. And because it's foliage (mostly) it's not garish.

Same here with Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. It is only 15 minutes from home and this was the first year that I stopped by. They had a "bold" garden that was loaded with red flowers and foliage. It was not necessarily my taste, but there were some interesting plants.

The absolute best plant sale of the Spring will be held here Saturday May 18. Spring Garden Day will have no less than 41 vendors selling the kinds of plants never found at the big boxes. Its really a great day, I go every May.
