Night-blooming cereus...feed?

delineavit(z6)June 27, 2013

My Night-blooming Cereus bloomed last year, just about July 4th or so. This year I don't see any buds on it, and also the leaves seem very yellow. It's in a hot sunny spot in my garden, but we've had a fairly cool and rainy spring here in zone 6/New England.
1) Should I feed it, and if so, with what?
2) Should it have set a bud by now?
thanks in advance.

Have you ever hear of these flowers blooming in the day time. Not only did one of the plants I have bloom but two of them on this one day. Each plant was in a different place in my yard ( one on front porch and one on the back. Call it a coincidence or not but it was the day before my husband had some serious surgery.
I was just wondering if you had ever heard of this before. It has not happen since. They are back to blooming at night.
