Mirabilis flowers

john3(7a)August 13, 2012

I've noticed the last two mornings, with low temps in the upper 50s, that the flowers are lasting longer -- till about 10:30-11a -- instead of usually closing a few hours earlier. Seems that cooler morning lows extend the lifespan of 4 o'clocks. Anyone else notice this? I've only taken notice of this this year.

That's common. They will also stay open all day if it's overcast.
