According to progressives, it's because of Mitch McConnell's wife. Or should I say it's because of racist progressives?
McConnell has been rumored for years as a closeted gay whose cover has been a pliant Asian woman. Who would believe that?
The comments are disgusting and the person who made them has heard about it...not in a good way.
Seems Mrs is referring to a series of inapropriate and offensive tweets from a member of a Progressive Group in Kentucky. The organization immediately removed the tweets, issued an apology and the jerk that posted the disgusting comments is no longer with the organization.
Seems to me that the progressive group acted progressively.....
The rest of the,story........
"Progress Kentucky removed the offending comments from Twitter after Louisville public radio station WFPL-FM aired reports about them. And the group issued two apologies over the past week for what they described as "inappropriate tweets sent by our organization.""Those tweets did not reflect our values, and we are committed to making sure nothing like that happens again," executive director Shawn Reilly said in a statement posted on the group's website. "We also apologize to our many supporters, and all Kentuckians working for change in 2014, for those communications. Comments with references to race, ethnicity or sexual orientation have no place in any debate, and we are deeply embarrassed byÃÂ such a mistake"
OP minus the detailed information, posted to "stir the pot'.
No surprise now is it?
So, all progressives are racist because of this disgusting, tasteless, inappropriate rant? From some weird group that no one has heard of before? And will now, thankfully, sink from view.
Nice job of extrapolating.
Nope. None. In fact, it is expected.
Thanks, chase for posting the story. Good for the them for the apology and taking responsibility. Taking responsibility for real. Not just talk as we see so often.

Reading the OP, I had to put some 3-in-1 oil on the needle in my Acme Outrage 'o Meter, (the Nimbus 2000 model) it was vibrating so fiercely.
Is this outrage? It didn't have the usual exclamation points so I didn't recognize it as such.
This is not even a "neerer neener night"; get a grip y'all.
"Is this outrage? It didn't have the usual exclamation points so I didn't recognize it as such."
Here ya go:
âÂÂThis woman has the ear of @mcconnellpress " sheâÂÂs his #wife. May explain why your job moved to #China!"
"Hoot! McConnell has been rumored for years as a closeted gay whose cover has been a pliant Asian woman. Who would believe that?"
You never know, Marshall. All you can do is put it out there and see if it sticks.
FTA: "Last week, BuzzFeed reported that Progress Kentucky had also tweeted twice suggesting that McConnell was gay and linking to an old news release written by an activist who has made similar accusations against several other politicians.
âÂÂIs @mcconnellpress a gay-bashing gay senator?â asked one of the tweets, both of which have been deleted."
The group has been criticized by Democrats and Republicans, and has begun keeping tabs on tweets. Better late than never.

Fly fishing with out the opening act overture is exactly as Chase put it. HUH?
Crew listed him 3 years among the most corrupt in Washington. He didn't make it this year Their list is always bi partisan.
According to WHICH progressives? And this proves why jobs are going to China? Some tweets?
No linked article or media story, no explanation, nothing of any substance to support assertions, or indicate an actual debate direction or opinion...
Hey, if just the fact that you are a republican makes you a racist, certainly tweets like this makes progressives doubly so right?
Who ever found and connected dots that indicate all Republicans are racists? I don't remember that ever happening. Evidence?
So is this thing going to hit 150-151 comments too....just like all the others?

There were several witnesses.
Republicans called a black woman an animal.
Defending the indefensible again are we.
When I first heard about the incident I was absolutely sickened. I cannot believe that behaviour like that continues to exist. This may be harsh but for me this is one of those incidents where I tarnish the whole Republican Party with a broad brush stroke.
Not all conservatives are racist, but all racists are conservative. The Republican party is the conservative party.
Shouldn't be a surprise.
There's a reason why racists don't flock to the Dems.
dot dot dot
No surprise now is it?
Nope. None. In fact, it is expected.
Mrsk gets some kind of perverse pleasure in mining the internet and r/w media for spin to stir the pot with. If there was an award Mrsk would win the gold.
Another asinine op not posted to foster discussion, just simply as some sort of ridiculous gotcha.
I would concur, Epi...
And now, if you will all excuse me, I have some housework and other chores that I'd prefer over a non-discussion...
If anyone is interested in playing 'gotcha' patty cake, a great source for "conservative" foibles and follies is rightwingwatch.org, at the link.
Currently featuring First Baptist Dallas Pastor Robert Jeffress, who made headlines when Tim Tebow backed out of an upcoming appearance at his new $130 million megachurch campus.
But always, all kinds of good 'gotcha' stuff on assorted politicians and preachers, not to mention the tea party.
But don't forget, when you post, make sure to implicate ALL Republicans and Conservatives. Its much better that way.

But republicans enshrine their racist ideals in their election platform every 4 years. And try to put their racist ideals in every bill that goes before Congress.
Well, I'm surprised nobody brought up Justice Scalia and his equating basic voting in a democracy as a "racial entitlement".
There are posts on this board that are the equivalent of a dog marking. This is one.
".......you never know, Marshall. All you can do is put it out there and see if it sticks."
You mean like the thread you started about Senator Menendez, Nik?
it's becoming clear that mrskjun is actually a plant whose goal is to make conservatives look ignorant and dishonest. If anyone discovers who's behind it, please speak up; progressives do not endorse this tactic. I am surprised, though, that the genuine conservatives here aren't distancing themselves from her posts; they seem to be unwittingly acting as message force multipliers.

"But republicans enshrine their racist ideals in their election platform every 4 years. And try to put their racist ideals in every bill that goes before Congress."
Time stamps... check the time stamps. That one didn't stick. Try another.
And remember... more likely than not, a lot of what's written beyond the thread opener will be dripping with sarcasm and disdain.
Conservatives never 'unwittingly' act as message force multipliers.
Actually, one time mrsK was one of the more moderate conservatives on this site. I think we've radicalized her.
Why not? I am a less avid libertarian now, in part, because of my interactions with and reactions to this board. I'm also much more leery of political partisanship than before, if that was possible!
Another train wreck of a thread.
Someone please help me out here....
if just the fact that you are a republican makes you a racist...
Jodi challenges that by saying:
Who ever found and connected dots that indicate all Republicans are racists? I don't remember that ever happening. Evidence?
MrsK responds to that with her evidence, which says:
Not all conservatives are racist, but all racists are conservative.
So, MrsK proof that someone claimed all conservatives are racist is someone's statement that says "not all conservatives are racist".
tis that reading comprehension problem again, jill. seems to be an ongoing problem with the conservatives around the country as well as on HT.
I agree, littleone. There can no longer be any question about MrsK's reading comprehension abilities, or lack thereof.
Uh oh... now they'll say we said all conservatives have reading comprehension problems. It's an ugly cycle, but you see where it's going?
Wasn't that the original intention of the op?
LOLOL...wake up people becase of Obama care we have gone from 78 people to 49 people and started ordering more parts from China....I went through the employee parking lot and anyone with an Obama sticker I wrote it down...then I casually talked to everyone and I got thier perspective and then my brother and I layed off the Liberals.. to no fault of thier own we put another 8 people on part time to get thier hours below thirty so we didnt have to pay. Every one else has to work harder because they are afraid of losing thier jobs as our area has a unemployment rate of 13%.....there you go...and to top it off on thier final statments I had Liz include this same reason and gave Obamas website and told the people to email him as they went on Unemployment....The Business owner will always find a way to keep what they took a risk on and spent years to build...go ahead and be part of Barry Satorros ..eeerrr....Obamas socialist Borg
o-r must be small-time, doing HR himself and perhaps other office functions. Couldn't be too busy because s/he has time to cruise parking lots. Do you do car windows too?

Oil_Robb appears to be a fake persona planted here to play the part of a semi-illiterate conservative no-nothing clown with a touch of the paranoid crazy. If someone on the Left is responsible, I condemn it. Progressives do not approve of this tactic that smears right-wingers.
But what is so strange is that I haven't seen a genuine conservative distance themselves from his positions, even when asked about thie opinion of him. Curious.
The good news is that anything posted to the internet is forever... and anyone looking to sue for wrongful dismissal has wonderful ammunition for a legal battle.
The problem with public message boards and forums is that they're open to shills and spammers, or anyone with an opinion and the ability to type. This doesn't always make for a pleasant or rational encounter.
With all the recent advances in computer science technology, where they have computers that can win at Jeopardy! and write poetry, its entirely possible that some kids at MIT in a programming 101 class came up with something that combs through all the right wing sites for cliches, bundles them into barely-coherent rants with random capitals, and posts them under initials.
"Do you really think it is legal to fire someone, lay them off because they have different political beliefs than yours?"
No way around the layoffs regardless of political beliefs. Penalties Democrats set for companies with more than 49 employees are forcing employers all over the country to lay people off. Over two dozen people had to go at Rob's company, plus now the company will be ordering more from China. Elections have consequences.
Folks who voted to keep Obama and Obamacare deserve to be first in line for fallout. Democrats made ALL the rules. I'm all for Democrats living with them whenever possible:
FTA: "For many, the ACA will mean "Congratulations! Your employer will be required to carry health insurance or face a penalty. Unfortunately, your employer is forced to lay you off because of the added penalties make your position cost prohibitive.""
Here is a link that might be useful: Obamacare Realities
Funny how the supposed jobs lost to Obamacare is a bad thing but jobs lost to the sequestration are a good thing
Gee, Nik, glancing through your link, no where does it mention that now, these employees will have health insurance where they didn't before.
And all the benefits that means for both the company and, of course, the people who work there. All for only $40,000 in "fines".
Posted by chase z6 (My Page) on Mon, Mar 4, 13 at 11:03
Got a list of those jobs lost to Obama's sequestration chase?
They should start firing people within the next two months, time for notices to go out and all. The same time line for the 20% cuts in salaries.
Then, of course, a lot of the job losses are from contracts with the private sector that the assorted agencies won't sign.
Not yet Mrs........after all it just went into effect Friday.... but here is a glimmer of what will happen if this ridiculous approach to cost cutting isn't replaced with a well thought out and balanced approach
Here is a link that might be useful: just the tip of the iceberg
What I don't understand is why the GOP and anyone who follows that party line to the letter doesn't simply stand up and say it outright... what they really want is a total separation of the classes and anyone who they don't like because of various differences, all the nation's wealth and resources to accumulate in their hands, no concessions made for anything resembling what's fair or balanced, and a radical theocratic government that will legislate OTHER PEOPLE'S morality. That way, all the little people and minorities can be used as slaves and servants, or just done away with.
(Of course, this only applies to those who already have enough wealth and influence to take what they want... those common Republicans that helped them get there by parroting the party line need not apply.)
I guess jodik, because that isn't what we want.
"That way, all the little people and minorities can be used as slaves and servants, or just done away with."
Awww...Jodi guessed my secret!!!
I'm a conservative, because I want my black grandchildren to be slaves!
I hadn't thought about having them "done away with" but now I'm worried. What if Jodi is on to something? Maybe conservatives really are demons...that would make me a demon, too!
Gotta go. My grandson is on his way here from preschool. He's expecting a purple popsicle, a seat in the big chair with the dog and me, and yet another round of stories from one of his Richard Scary books. Now that I've been "educated" about what conservatives REALLY think, I just hope I can keep my hideous personality under control.
I see what you did there, mrskjun.
Congress passed it with bipartisan support.
What I wonder is how decent, tolerant people, like the ones on this forum, can, in good conscience, support Republicans. Nothing in the ideals and goals of the GOP, that might, even remotely, be considered good should be even considered because of the blatant racism and intolerance of the party towards anyone who isn't white and at least upper middle class. People like the current GOP leadership should be rejected out of hand.
What can someone possibly say to themselves that could justify supporting people who don't want you at their party? Or in their home, or at their table.
I think - once again - Obama underestimated just how far the tea party republicans are willing to go to destroy the economy to further their ideological, unproven Randian utopia.
I wonder how many screen shots have been taken as legal ammunition so far?
Jobs lost to the sequester is a good thing because It is MY tax dollars paying for those federal union slugs.
Your profile says you're in Canada.
So I see your beef is with unions ....
There are a number of posters' comments that I avoid reading from both (all) sides of the aisle because they've proven in the past that they are incapable of offering insight or new information.
It makes for a much quicker read...
I've just added another person to that list
I suspect Oil_Robb is a fake persona created to embarrass conservatives. The 3rd/4th-grade writing level is a tip-off.
It is puzzling that none of the real conservatives here have critiicized Oil_Robb's posts, though, given how clownish they are. I would think they would want to distance themselves from the rantings. But maybe not.
Thanks esh for the added info on oil robb.
Must be that either that his/her business is in the USA, or he/she is full of hot air or is union obsessed and wants to bust the unions.
Why else would he/she be talking about "my money paying for these union thugs" when referring to the sequestration in the USA?
I'm puzzled that no one has Googled Robb's bogus bumper sticker story....or used snopes.com
Here is a link that might be useful: Boogity, boogity....
Esh, Oil_Robb's IP Address shows Alberta, Canada.
Wonder how many Obama stickers are on cars in Alberta parking lots?
Because no one cares what Robb says, except Robb. His/her comments are so ridiculous, they are not even worth reading.
Thanks Jean for the info.
So oil robb, you are nothing more than a fake, with your posts that are full of lies.
Did you enjoy posting the absurdities that you did?
There's no point; Oil_Robb made up everything about his supposed business. All the stuff about Obamacare increasing his costs and his tax dollars being misspent is fabricated. He's Canadian. Probably a plant to embarrass conservatives. I wonder if he's paid?
Yes, I know... there are several of us that know more about technology than your average user...
Are you kidding? Did you watch the Republican Debates? If they did not distance themselves after those 17 episodes of a bad reality show there is no help for that party.
-Mr. 999 grade school tax plan and
-Rick I cannot remember what agencies I am going to close,
-Mr. Las Vegas want to make a bet, I cannot have illegals mowing my lawn I am running for office, and
-Mr. Newt to many Oh my goodness how many women at one time to discuss and
-Cherry on top Ms Bachmann Defends HPV Vaccine retardation Comment
and, and, and.....
That pretty much tells the story of what they think is worthy to run the United States. They set that bar low. I felt sorry for them at times when I stopped laughing.
No need for them to criticize this guy - anyone that hilarious just deserves to be ignored and I imagine that is what they are doing. I would do the same if any similarly doofish person showed up for "my side".
Careful, littleonefb. He'll report you to the moderators and your post (and probably this one) will be deleted and you'll get a warning from the mods. That's what happened to me on another thread when I opined that we had a troll among us. Huh? I've read a lot worse posted here that was never deleted.
littleone wrote: So oil robb, you are nothing more than a fake, with your posts that are full of lies.
I just don't understand this post so many comments got deleted in regards to this Oil poster sometimes as plain Oil_Robb or Oil_Robb3 a couple of other names on other threads at other times & now that you or I can no longer see ip addresses ..well it's hard to keep this place cleaned up
Sometimes they are Candian at other times they are voting in US elections. Ah well just rummaging around the past!
