Heat wave killing Fuchsias?

Tiffany, purpleinopp GardenWeb, Z8b Opp, AL(8B AL)July 17, 2012

They usually stayed alive when I lived in OH (until I would try to bring them inside for winter when they always died anyway.) Of course the one I bought again this spring here in AL is already dead. Happens every time but I can't resist them in the spring. I always think, this year will be different...!

Curious if the unusual heat wave up there recently has overwhelmed your Fuchsias?

Well, they definitely don't bloom as well in hot weather, kind of just sit there and wait it out. Or they grow foliage but not many flowers.

Good to hear. Maybe they just don't like AL. Once had one with the prettiest variegated leaves, still missing it, about 9 years later. Can't wait till next spring so I can get another one to kill love and admire!
