Is it too early to plant forsythia?

I bought one yesterday. If I don't plant it now, should I be watering the ball?

Why are you waiting? You can plant it as long as the ground isn't frozen solid. I would water it if it needs it and if you can't get it into the ground today, get it in tomorrow.
