What is the name of this plant?

McSherbearJune 16, 2012

Does anyone know the name of this plant? It was at a hotel we stayed in in Panguitch, Utah. I was told by the owner of the hotel that it is called "Lucient", but I can't find anything by that name or spelling. If anyone knows I would be most grateful for the help. It's the plant in the middle of the pot with the long skinny leaves. Thanks in advance.

Definitely Lupine :-)

Many different types, a number of which are native to parts of the US. But also a good many cultivated garden hybrids, which the one in the container most likely is.

Here is a link that might be useful: lupines
