need an answer on this plant

vikireedApril 29, 2011

I know this is probably a very common plant and I've seen it but I've spent all morning looking at webpages and google images and i can't find anything like it. The previous owner of my house let everything go because her late husband was the gardener. Every shrub was 20 ft tall and didn't flower so I did healthy prunes and drastic cuts too all I could and some of them came up with flowers which started the education on what was in my yard for real. But this one plant only sprouted and flowered this year and I cannot tell what it is. Does ANYone know???

I think It's one of the cultivated & ornamental shrubby honeysuckles.

Lonicera x bella, maybe. Like Steve said, a honeysuckle.

Thank you thank you. I don't know why my email wouldn't have worked. I'm so grateful for the help> I even went to the local community gardener and the 'old wise one' of the place didn't know! Again, thank you!
