There is a plant by one of the pump stations where my husband works. The leaves are formed like the orchid vanda,a stem comes up probably 24 to 36 inchs from the center of the leaves the flowers are orange have darker orange stripes. Seems to have eight leaves on all plants. The flower stem branches most have five branches. He says it hasnt been there before. We have had 29 more inchs of rain this year. I have pictures. I have searched wild flowers, bulbs, orchids, can not find anything it is makeing me crazy it is a really pretty plant. Can anyone help

Pictures would be most helpful. Or, if you can't provide pix, can you describe the flower structure? How many petals, arranged in what manner, borne singly or in bunches, flower diameter and so forth? Vanda orchids have foliage that's pretty distinctive, dark green, leathery, smooth and rather two-dimensionally stacked in arrangement, and I can't think of anything that resembles this off the top of my head.
