Mountain mint

Anybody have experience collecting seed and growing it in the garden? I found a wild patch of Pycnanthemum muticum at my town park, and although I wouldn't ever dig and move wild plants, I think it would be OK to collect some seed.

I also saw Asclepias syriaca in bloom everywhere, but no Monarch caterpillars. However I did finally see an adult for the first time this year. Halleluja!

I once grew P. virginiana from seed and it wasn't difficult. It was a little harder to grow P. tenuifolium.

I've found it to be an aggressive spreader and pollinators go crazy over it. Planted about 10 quarts two springs ago for a neighbor and it filled in a large area. Have since took a few transplants from that for use in other yards.
