Need Help To ID Plant

rainbowdeals(6)August 5, 2012

I found this low growing shrub in the woods near nantahala lake in western North Carolina. It has a small green fruit about the size of a large acorn or small plum with 5 small pointy nubs on the bottom of the fruit. Any idea what this could be?
