Aussie flower

FidOctober 22, 2006

A friend of mine from Australia took a photo of a flower growing in their back garden, neither I nor they know what type of flower it is. I would be really grateful if someone on here could tell me what flower this is.

The only place I could upload it to is a webpage I created a while ago - just scroll to bottom to see pic.

Many thanks

It looks suspiciously like a single Anemone coronaria. If this was coming up in the last couple of months that would make sense because it's sort of spring in Aus, too.

They may not have planted it, but A coronaria will grow as a wilding from seed and it could have blown in from nearby.
