Sneaky pest

Click on the lower pic to see a closeup of a cutworm hiding, not in the dirt next to the hosta, but in the hosta itself. Now that's one spot I haven't been checking.

Thanks for the link Deanna. Very informative. I did find one of these nasties eating the heart out of an eye of new growth on my LS Prophecy early this Spring. I think I need to look at using some Sluggo Plus (with Spinosad) in certain areas of my garden to control them.
