Identify this plant

judy3232August 13, 2013

This plant appeared about 3 months ago and it sprouted very tall. I had thrown wild flower seeds out over a year ago so I assumed it was a wild flower... It's about 9-10' tall now and it seems to have started to growing little bunches at the ends that I hope to maybe sprout as flowers. Does anyone know what this might be?

Mare's tail, or horseweed. I recommend that you pull it up before it flowers, or you will have many, many more plants next year.
