help id pink blooming (now) shrub?

plumism(z4-5 MA)March 27, 2010

Does anyone know the name of this shrub? It's about the size of forsythia,

rounded and graceful, and is blooming along with forsythia in Boston now.

Blooms are light pink, in opposite clusters along the branch tips, 4 petals

with a small yellow center, about 1/2 inch long. Dainty but with impact. I'm

sorry I don't have a photo.
