Tap-rooted native milkweeds from cuttings?

dog_wonderOctober 9, 2007

I wanted to know if anyone has tried this and/or had success with it. That is, growing tap-rooted milkweed species such as A. viridis, A. tuberosa, and A. asperula from cuttings.

My gut feeling is that this would not work well. Anyone know?

Here's information about root cuttings. You are in luck as fall is the proper time to do this.

Here is a link that might be useful: Asclepias tuberosa root cuttings

Thanx for the link.

My plants are not nearly big enough for root cuttings/tuber division yet.
