Help identifying

msbeffersOctober 25, 2013

Can anyone help me identify this flower? The leaves are fern-like and the seed looks similar to marigold.

Perhaps coreopsis?

I don't know. It's a wild flower and grows to be about 3' tall. I looked at the Georgia wild flower website and saw some very similar flowers but the leaves were different. My son-in-law grabbed some seed last fall while deer hunting and we planted them. Both his and mine came up and were just beautiful before the cold got them.
