Nandina hedges

airedale689December 16, 2013

I know this is the wrong forum but I can't post on the tropical/florida forum.

I have just bought several nandina domestica and I want to use them as a hedge. One is growing sort of tall and sparse, so would clipping it back help it fill out in the middle?

Thanks so much

This is the wrong forum because this is the Native plants forum and Nandina is not native to the US. It is native to parts of Asia.

And Nandina is actually a Category I invasive plant in Florida, the highest designation possible.

Here is a link that might be useful: Link to Florida invasive plant info
