Fruit tree that you are growing and happy with it.
My friend and I live in Seattle area and we are trying to decide what fruit tree to buy.
Apple trees are by far the most satisfactory and rewarding of the familiar orchard fruits. It is important to choose locally adapted disease-resistant cultivars.
You will need to look into a multi-graft apple or at least two different kinds if you want successful cross pollination and good fruit production.
If you have never grown fruit trees before, it may be smart to look into what local nurseries are offering in the way of classes right now. There is a bit more to it than just picking out a fruit you like and hoping for the best -- cross pollination, grafted forms, disease resistance, Mason bees for flower fertilization and proper pruning are all things you should have at least a basic knowledge of.
