Curly Willow - Salix matsudana

wakerry(z6a)June 13, 2004

Does anyone have any experience with this one in this area? I haven't seen any locally so I wondered if they do well here. I was hoping to find a tree somewhere to get some cuttings from. When I worked at a GH in VA we would just take cuttings about 2' long, strip the leaves from the lower half and stick them in a bucket of water in the shade. Within a couple of weeks they would have roots.

I have the Golden Curls willow, and it has done very well for me. I live about 1 hour north Louisville.
