guide for Portland-area planting

garrai81March 3, 2012

Is there an online guide that will give us guidance about when to plant potatoes, spinach, and other vegetables in the Pacific NW?

We live near Scappoose.

We have a sunny location.

You can check with the OSU extension or local nurseries. I know Portland nursery has a schedule.

Also check out Sunset's "Western Garden Book". It has an awesome chart of when to plant what vegetables. What's great is that it was specially written for gardens in Oregon and the western US.
