Need ideas!

Lou.11April 28, 2013

We are trying to come up with a plan for part of our yard - we'd prefer edible or medicinal perennials, but pretty and not high-maintainence are on the list too.

Here's the catch:
Awful soil and drainage (think back-filled housing development) - unfortunately our local soil company is not reliable, so we must use our own compost or buy bagged amendments.
Full sun, no shade at this time (not opposed to a few trees)
A wicked reflection off the wall of the house - making this microclimate much hotter in the summer and much colder in the winter.

Any ideas are helpful!! Thanks!

You might want to hire a consultant/designer to come and see each issue in person, discuss it with you.
