Over-summering Cyclamen

Karchita(WA Z8)June 17, 2009

I have several large florists' cyclamen that I bought last February. They have been gorgeous and are just finishing flowering, even after all the heat. I would love to keep them for next year. Does anyone have any tips for doing this? I suppose letting the foliage die back and then keeping them dry for the summer and repotting and starting to water again in the fall and perhaps some fertilizer is the general approach.

I put mine on the shelves in the shade where I keep my orchids in the summer. In a cool place, with regular water (don't overwater), they never do lose all their leaves. I've had the same ones for years.
