Kousa Dogwoods in Falmouth

diggingthedirtJune 26, 2011

On another thread, Katy mentioned that the Kousa dogwoods in Falmouth are really lovely this year, and asked for some photos of them. Here's one, and a link to some more that I took this morning when we took our dog for a long walk around the neighborhood. From Kousas in Falmouth

Oh, thank you for posting, Nan, and thanks for asking, Katy. I love dogwoods in general, and your Falmouth Kousas are lovely. It's interesting that my two are also in full bloom right now (but a bit gangly and not so large as of yet) despite being so much farther north. Coastal springs really must come quite a bit later. The oak leaf hydrangea in the last photo looks like it will be pretty spectacular the first sunny day we have.
