Need fruit trees inSeattle, WA

paddyberkSeptember 24, 2010

Hello everyone.

Where is the best place within 40 miles of Seattle to buy trees. I am looking for fruit trees mostly but also a few ever greens to fill in the yard. Looking for a place with a large selection and decent prices (my yard is already WAY over budget). So let me know your favorite nursery.

Thanks for the help

They have some pretty good looking ones at Sky (185th & Aurora).

You may wish to wait until bareroot trees are availabe in late winter. You get a much greater variety of fruit trees. Easily found at all full-service nurseries.

Today I noticed that the ones they have left (many seem to have sold in the past month or so) are now half off. So you can start with a pretty big specimen (apple, pear etc.) for perhaps less than 20 dollars with tax - full prices I read for a couple of these more common types were less than 40 dollars. Apple, columnar apple, Asian pear, fig, nectarine, plum...
