Wilson Farms Lexington, a couple good buys

mrtulinAugust 26, 2013

There are big pots of agastache on sale for 5 bucks. There were still about 10 agastache blue fortune and and a few black adder after I bought two.
There are also some big, well grown pots of other fall perennials for 9.99. A beautiful trycirtis "samuri" which has a gold edge and true purple flowers (not just spotted with purple) an unusual hypericum "Magical Universe" and hibiscus "Luna"
At other places, the pots are 14.99 (which is ridiculously overpriced)
btw, the peaches are extraordinary!
They certainly don't have a huge variety, but if you are going to buy their local peaches or first of the season apples, take a quick detour to the "yard" in front with the markdowns.

Ida, I was there on Wednesday and neglected to look at their markdowns which are usually a great buy as they have quality plants. Take care of that hyssop because we will all want a piece come spring! Hope to see you at Annie's on Sept. 29, 2013.
